Hey DoneDone users! This morning, we made our first big release since the launch of DoneDone 2. Here's what's been updated.
As I mentioned last month, we've been working hard on a global search feature and it's ready to go on your account right now. The next time you visit DoneDone 2, you'll see a search icon at the top of DoneDone. Just click it and start searching for any task or conversation you have access to in your account.
One of the things Classic customers missed the most was having reference numbers for each of their tasks and conversations, like they did for issues in Classic. Well, they're now back. We've seeded all your current tasks and conversations with a number (ordered sequentially from the date an item was created).
Any new tasks or conversations will have a reference number as well. You'll find reference numbers throughout the app -- on the item's detail page, within lists, on the calendar section, and in your email and message notifications. You can't miss them!
As I mentioned in our previous post, there's one big difference with reference numbers in DoneDone 2: They are unique to the entire account. So, you won't have multiple task #1's like you did in Classic. This way, you can easily talk about any task or conversation by number with your team without having to say which project or mailbox you are referring to. Also, numbers will no longer change if you move items to a new project or mailbox. The best part? You can search for any item by typing in the number in the search bar.
Finally, we snuck in another visual improvement while we were working on these updates. Your task and conversation lists were redesigned to make better use of your screen space. There's a lot more room for the title and latest message preview, and we've neatly tucked the priority and status underneath. For mailboxes, you'll see the customer's name and email address as well.We think this design will also allow us to add more information to the lists going forward.
Up next? We have a number of other popular services we're looking to integrate with DoneDone 2. Stay tuned on our blog or follow us on Twitter for updates. As always, we'd love to hear your feedback.
