Filtering by and managing projects

When we started building the new DoneDone earlier this year, one of our top goals was to give you a way to see all issues across all your projects - one of DoneDone's most popular feature requests. We also needed to make it easy to dive into a single project at a time, and to give you a simple, intuitive way to switch between these two scopes. That's where the new DoneDone dashboard comes in. When you first log in, you'll be greeted with a full listing of all your issues across all your projects. The dashboard can be toggled between three distinct views: Issues (a simple summary of all issues), Activity (a chronological listing of updates made in a date range), and Reports (a series of charts that visually summarize your issues). Each of these views can be further filtered by status, priority, user, and more - all to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

Viewing issues for a single project

You can quickly change the dashboard's project scope by clicking the title dropdown. This will display a list of all your projects - simply select the project you want to drill into, and the dashboard will only display issues for that project.

Selecting a project

Selecting a projectWhen you're on a single project's dashboard, you'll notice a few more controls are available. A breadcrumb trail appears at the top left of the page, which allows you to quickly move back up to the All Projects dashboard. You'll also see a settings icon to the right of the page title, where you can view and modify settings for the current project.

Filtering issues by project

When viewing the top-level dashboard, it's often helpful to only show issues for just a few projects, instead of all projects at once.To filter your issues by multiple projects, click the dashboard title dropdown and select the Filter by Project tab. Click the input field to select one or more projects, then click Apply. Your current dashboard view will refresh to only show issues in the projects you selected. To remove the project filter, just open the title dropdown's Filter by Project tab again and click Reset to all projects.

Features for account owners

DoneDone administrators and account owners will notice two additional icons in the dashboard title dropdown - one for creating new projects and another for viewing archived projects. Just remember, the dashboard title dropdown contains all your project-specific features!
